SMFO, Société Seine et Marnaise de Forges et d'Outillages, located in ALLONNES, near by SAUMUR since January 2002, is the merger of :
- SMFO in BLANDY LES TOURS &
- COYARD foundry located in ANGERS.
SMFO in BLANDY LES TOURS (77) :
Previously called SAFO (Société Ardennaise de Forges et d'Outillages), SFMO set up in 1947, was taken over by the company l'Union des Forgerons.
Then SFAO became SMFO when the company is handled by M. Michel BUSTEAU and M. Jean-Pierre BROUZES. |

COYARD in ANGERS (49) :
In 1926, Eugène Rolland COYARD set up a mechanical work shop and a foundry called : SNC COYARD.
In 1972, Rolland COYARD son, creates COYARD SA and directs this new company towards the industrial valve manufacturing for Navy application.
In 1998, the company is bought-out by FINANCIERE MB, managed by M. Jean-Pierre BROUZES.
In 2013, SMFO, SACCAP et COYARD companies join forces with ICARUS, forming a new group in order to become a major actor in their markets.

The SMFO’s task is to produce :
- forged & stamped in all kind of steel, aluminium bronze, nickel alloy, mainly dedicated to industrial valves, automotive industries & rail way industries. The forge capacity allow us to produce pieces from 0.1 to 40 kg in small or medium quantities.
- Cast parts in all kind of steel, aluminium bronze, nickel alloy, mainly dedicated to industrial valves for Oil & Gas sector and Navy industry. Due to its historical presence onto the Navy market, SMFO has an unquestionable experience in Aluminium Bronze castings. The foundry capacity allows SMFO to produce cast parts from 0.1 to 500 Kg.
